... and now: chemo

hang on to the roller coaster.
got a call from the oncologist office this morning.
they want us to come in on Monday to talk about doing chemo now.
that's it, no details.

someone must have been awfully convincing...

  1. That makes for a much less relaxing weekend- I'm sorry. Remember, YOU get to decide what you want to do, and if chemo doesn't seem like the right thing you can hold off. It's hard to figure out what to do when your doctors aren't 100% sure or 100% convincing- I hope you're able to find someone in-the-know you trust to help you figure out what's best for you. (And also remember that getting a second opinion isn't a rejection of your current doctor; it's a way of gathering information.)

I know you can handle whatever is thrown at you. Take care.

  3. Good morning!! I am a friend of Yvonne's and having been through chemo, just want you to know that it is not at all bad. Nothing like they show on anything I have ever watched. Drink lots of water (sorry, that was not beer) to help it through your system. The really cool thing about having a very rare cancer is that the Oncologists will all want to have a say in your case. The more doctors the better!! Jeremey, Maya & Fiona, I am keeping you in my nightly prayers and sending you all the positive (which is a lot) energy I have. This is the first Blog I've ever read. You did a fabulous job on it. Get those emotions out!! Wish we had done this!! Would have really helped my husband.
    Hugs, Marg Mytholar
